The spokesman for IU-Greens in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas propose the full council tomorrow implementation of a program similar to the one developed in the municipality of Zaragoza with the name 'This is not a solar' employment.
Herguedas noted that this program, which grew out of an initiative of IU in the city of Zaragoza and developed since 2009, consists primarily of municipal employment plan that is managed directly by a public company.
This plan is intended to implement urban development in different plots that are temporarily converted into spaces of public use and enjoyment.
The program, with an average of between 10 and 12 workers on site with a salary of one thousand euros a month contract, has allowed Zaragoza design of more than 70 public and private lots.
Herguedas explained that in addition to job creation and urban regeneration, the program also known for its social and environmental aspects.
"The neighborhood and citizen participation is a key element in the decision making and subsequent management of projects and interventions are made at minimal cost from recycled material," says the mayor.
In addition, he explained that the program has collected national and international awards since its inception, and has been studied and specialized publications which emphasize its innovative and inclusive.
IU-Green believes that this program would fit perfectly in Murcia, where "the housing crisis has left a trail of unemployment and urban decay" and stresses that the successful experience of Zaragoza "is a guarantee of efficient use of public resources which we must learn. "
