The University of Murcia joins a network to facilitate employability of Erasmus students (16/12/2013)

The University of Murcia has signed an agreement with the human resources consulting PeopleMatters establishing the educational institution joins the Erasmus Recruiting Network, which promotes the company for Erasmus students and other international programs entering selection processes staff of eighteen large companies.

The main objective of Recruiting Erasmus program, involving 66 Spanish universities, is to contact the three main pillars of the labor market in Spain, namely the most innovative and demanding talent recruitment companies and brightest students able to work internationally and teaching world.

PeopleMatters director, Alfonso Jimenez partner was pleased that a nearly century as the University of Murcia joins the program, which arose from the initiative of large companies demanding a profile that matched students who had had an experience internationally, facilitating the recruitment and selection processes.

Among the personal qualities and skills most valued by the participating companies are mastering languages, global mindset, adaptability and teamwork, willingness to mobility and creativity.

The 18 companies with Spanish capital adhered-dunks to foreign markets or foreign companies operating in Spain-are AbbVie, Aldi, BBVA, Cassidian, credit and suretyship, Everis, Gas Natural Fenosa, Spain Heineken, Ikea, Inditex, Janssen, Lidl , Microsoft, MSD, Prosegur, Red Eléctrica de Spain, Banco Santander and Steelcase.

For his part, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Internationalisation, Gaspar Ros, stressed the importance of the Erasmus-"for many, which has done most to Europe," said program, and lamented the decline in funding has been suffering in the years.

During the signing of agreement, announced in January that it will publish the notice of reformed program called Erasmus + for the course 2014/2015.

Finally, the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, has endorsed the words of his rector, and added that the great problem of the country is the high rate of unemployment.
