The Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines, Pedro Jiménez, today inaugurated the 29 Hall of Automotive and Allied Industries that brings together more than 50 companies.
Jimenez stressed that "it is an important event for the region and could be considered the most important event of the automotive industry held annually in the Community, thanks to its quality and variety of vehicles that are set in it," and he added, "allows citizens and potential customers in one location contemplate all the supply in the market."
For the director of Industry, "the experience of previous years shows that this event helps to boost sales, which directly affects companies and is a boost for the industry."
The Automotive Hall of Fame is a must for all fans of the automotive world, allowing them to experience firsthand the latest developments in the sector and its auxiliary industries, such as machinery, tools and equipment for workshops, among others.
It will see more than 600 cars from major auto purchases and the Region of Murcia, as well as other provinces.
These exhibit both new vehicle, as kilometer zero and equipment, plus trailers.
It also highlights the presence of companies engaged in the ancillary industry with tools and equipment for workshops, which will offer the ultimate professional in this subsector.
Director of Industry said that "the Community promotes and supports such initiatives that help advance the productive sectors and create the perfect environment for businesses to reach potential customers who come with a clear intent to purchase."
PIVE Plan
On the other hand, Pedro Jimenez offered some regional data on the Incentive Programme Efficient Vehicle PIVE plans, which promotes the central government to encourage the purchase of vehicles with lower fuel consumption.
Specifically, the fourth round of the program began on 30 October, remains open and is endowed with 70 million euros.
Regarding the third call, in July 2013, 1,823 applications have been validated from the region, while the second edition (February 2013) are 5,295 that have been validated.
According to Jimenez explained, "these plans have helped to mitigate the fall in vehicle sales in Spain associated with the economic crisis and has eased the effects on the industry."
He also highlighted the benefits of renewing the vehicle fleet, as "promotes energy savings in the transport sector and mitigate the negative effects of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment."
