The City is committed to the training of young Murcia and continues to support the International Baccalaureate featuring the IES Alfonso X El Sabio.
The Councillor for Education, Maria Dolores Sánchez, explained that this is to offer alternatives to improve the training of young people, and that the City has spent several years working with the IES.
The IES began the process of implementation of this educational system during 2005/2006 and became official in September 2006.
The International Baccalaureate Organization is an educational non-profit foundation, which encourages students to take an active approach to learning, to be balanced people in the world and to act responsibly in accordance with the principles of international citizenship.
The Alfonso X 'El Sabio' Institute offers Diploma program, which is a two-year curriculum, primarily aimed at students / as 16 to 19 years.
Be reconciled with both the Spanish high school courses, so that the student obtains dual degree.
In these studies the number of subjects that students can choose / as limited, specific high school subjects chosen by the students are included, supply the materials and teaching center fits possibilities and are intended to get the student body to the subjects needed to obtain a double degree.
