The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, announced this morning that the regional government will continue subsidizing the improvement of road communications in municipality of Murcia, with the construction of roads called North and South Coast .
Antonio Sevilla explained that this grant is arbitrated through an addendum to the agreement signed with the city of Murcia, resetting the financing of these infrastructures, projected convention a few years ago, and that was altered by economic circumstances.
The Minister stressed that the forthcoming signing of this agreement "is good news for the city of Murcia and Region, as it allows continuing the north-south backbone, quite adequate, and now is completed with transverse, east-west, will greatly improve communications. "
"With the agreement said addenda coverage to works executed and maintained, as well as those currently under adjudication," said the director.
By the Community for these roads totaling 66.5 million euros, of which are still executory 41.5 million, which are produced in this addendum, which will be funded over the next seven annual installments from 2013 until 2019.
At present is completed and in service Sangonera Alternative Green and several sections of the North and South Coast, with a total length of 14 kilometers.
Moreover, already tendered seven sections of the North Coast and four in the South.
As indicated by Antonio Sevilla, "the total length is funded by the Community 22 kilometers, of which 14 are already executed and eight were new contracts."
