The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, today announced the list of works restored by the Restoration Center of the Region of Murcia in 2013, among which are five pieces from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Murcia and five from other centers in the region.
In total, 10 works have restored this year had a budget of 25,850 euros.
During the presentation, Cruz said they are pieces that "show the vast amount of work that has been done at the Centre for Food during the last year."
Additionally, he said that these works "allow us to understand the working process of this center," noting that "will assist all Murcia can see how your estate is recovered."
The works will be shown at the Monument of St. John of God until next Sunday, December 1.
The Minister of Culture said that the restored works dating from the Baroque to the 80s of XX century, and "give a measure of the variety and intensity of the work performed by the Center for Restoration", which for 2014 has increased its budget 22 percent.
The works that have been restored Mubam are 'St. Catherine of Alexandria' by Bartolomeo Cavarozzi, a still anonymous; 'Window painter's studio in La Alberca' John Bonafé; 'Overhead Sketch Romea' John Picolo, and 'Odalisque' by Juan Martinez.
The pieces were in various states of preservation, so they were treated with various techniques specific to the needs of each, as set of crackle and baggy, union of separate parts, relined, physico-chemical cleaning, or coated chromatic reintegration, among others.
Also been restored sculptural pieces, such as 'Our Lady of Arrixaca' by José Sánchez Lozano, from the chapel of the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca, a limited size of the Child Jesus from the Church of Our Lady of the Angeles (3,500 euros), the piece 'Composition' by Rosa Maria Pujante, located in the Palacio de San Esteban, a kneeler Aguirre Palace XIX century, and carved wooden table nineteenth century Guevara House.
These pieces had cracks, wear, cracks, scrapes, scratches, bumps, dirt and insects accumulations, so they were treated with different consolidation processes, cleaning, coating, repair of damage, chromatic reintegration, polishing and disinfection.
