The Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the Municipality of Murcia launches a pioneering initiative in the region with which it intends to go a step further in the figure of the Community Police, undertaken by the city of Murcia.

The objective of this project is to avoid conflicts arising neighborhood professionals who perform the role of mediators

With Neighborhood Community Mediation and seeks to offer a more communication with the communities of the municipality, providing a new method of conflict resolution in which an impartial third party, the mediator or mediator, intervenes to try to help the parties to reach a peaceful and satisfactory solution for those involved.

Professionals will be those who try to help neighbors who are involved in a conflict, and this service is free and confidential.

It is not to intervene in disputes of a legal nature but everyday disagreements such as noise, disturbance by pets, air conditioning ...

Such mediation is not mandatory, but is a voluntary process, as both parties agree to mediation when they want to start and when they want to end it.

This project will start next week because these days it is proceeding with the training of police officers in your community.

Confidentiality, impartiality and equality are the keys that ensures the mediator, which offers the following advantages, in order not to have to get to the courts:

The figure of the Neighborhood and Community Mediator will be developed by two social workers with a master's degree in Mediation from the University of Murcia, highly experienced and qualified for legal completion of the mediation.

This figure is intended for residents of the municipality of Murcia, to the general public and to entities, groups and associations of any kind of Murcia.
