As a result of increased energy demand that has been occurring in recent years in temporary facilities Malecon Garden, mainly during the Spring Festival and, especially, in the September Fair, the Department of Urban and Infrastructure Quality will assume Transformation Center expansion located in the Garden.
Thus, it will double the current transformer power, to raise up to 1,250 kVA, which could cover up to 30% more in demand recorded during the past holiday, which reached peaks around 1,000 kW.
At the same time, and in order to avoid laying provisional overhead on poles to be performed for each event in the Garden, to run a permanent facility whose main feature is the opening 600 meters of trenches to introduce 2,300 powerline meters.
Also be installed 16 lockers outlets gardens, sheds and huts.
It is also planned to install a new cable retention system that prevents its extraction even if that is opened by force the cabinet.
The investment of these actions amounted to 143,000 euros.
