It is finalizing everything for the launch of the fifth edition of the International Film Festival of Murcia IBAFF, to be held from 3 to March 8, 2014 under the theme "Travel and Creation."
For this new edition have registered more than 300 works from 40 countries, including movies from authors Murcia, Spanish and international.
There have been works of Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Serbia and Montenegro, Cuba, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain, Greece, Guatemala, Israel , India, Iran, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Macedonia, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Sweden, El Salvador, Tanzania, Ukraine, United States.
The filing is over, specifically on 31 October, and now opens the selection process of the films that will be screened in the official competition section at the festival.
Among the works of authors Murcia who have enrolled in this edition contains "Future" by Luis Lopez Carrasco, a member of the group The Sons concerning the new Spanish independent film, which in turn has registered his third feature, "Trees", recently premiered at the European Film Festival in Seville.
Other authors Murcia who have registered their works are Pedro Ortuño ("Need"), José Manuel López Carrasco ("Sex Explicit") and Daniel Deseus ("Traffic").
Inscriptions include national scene as "The Sound of the World" Coke Riobóo, and said "Trees" from The Children.
As for the international, selected works have been presented and awarded at festivals around the world: Cannes Film Festival, International Film Festival Montreal International Film Festival of Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI) , Thess International Short Film Festival, Thessaloniki (Greece) Cinema da Mare (Italy), IFF Monterrey (Mexico), ICFF Manaki Film Festival (Macedonia), Vision du Reel (Switzerland), Rome Independent Film Festival, Bologna Biografilm, Est Film Festival (Italy), International Short Film Competition (Taiwan) BIFF (Bahamas), San Diego Latino Film Festival (USA) Film Exhibition Center and Latin American (Nicaragua), etc..
Among the international registration call attention those made by former students of the two editions of Film Workshop with Abbas Kiarostami, held on the occasion of the editions of 2012 and 2013 IBAFF.
The participants in the workshop have not forgotten Murcia and its festival, which have signed works from Colombia, Cuba or Iran.
For the selection phase of works, which will select between 15 to 20, take part crucial IBAFF two new collaborators, which this year will perform the functions of artistic director and programmer, respectively: Tanya Valette, former director of the International School Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba and currently Ibermedia Program Analyst and consultant of audiovisual projects, and Eloy Enciso, young director award at international festivals with his film "Arraianos".

In the three previous editions IBAFF festival, held from 2011 to 2013 have registered more than 1000 works, most of them absent from theaters and very hard to come by fans.
To enable access for arthouse lovers these works almost impossible to find in mainstream, it will launch a free loan service.
Initially available to the public over a hundred films, including award-winning works and selected in the official competition section in the 3 previous editions of the festival.
The list of available films include the award-winning "The Other Bank" (George Ovashvili), "Motel Nana" (Predrag Velinovic), "Viagem a Cabo Verde" (José Miguel Ribeiro), "The Other Side of the Sea" (Gonzalo Ballester) , "The Rose of No" (Ignacio Oliva), "Luminaris" (John Paul Zaramella), "A Cube of Sugar" (Reza Mir Karimi), "The Master Sahrawi" (Nicolás Muñoz), "I Think This Is The Closest Looked To How The Footage "(Yuval Hameiri)," Another Night on Earth "(David Muñoz) and" Map "(Leon Siminiani).
The list of 100 movies available for rent will be posted on the festival's website, http://www.ibaff.es in which enable a section to view available works and booking on-line.
The collection of the work will be reserved in person, with proof of identity, and the loan period will last 15 days.
