The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, in the context of the operation Crotal ', has located large amount of animal bones and thirty sheep carcasses in the bed of Rambla Salada, municipality of Murcia, by So, after finding out the origin of the remains, it has been reported to the farmer and the owner thereof for violations of the Animal Health Act and the Water Act.

The first bodies found lacked the headphone ear tags for individual identification, so that in principle could not determine the farm of origin.
Finally, after continuing the visual inspection by the bed of the ravine, were located more than 25 other sheep corpses in an advanced state of decomposition that they bore identification devices, which were collected to query the database of the Directorate General of Livestock and Fisheries of the Autonomous Community.
Once identified the farm owner of remains, the Meritorious agents and veterinarians Animal Health Service of Murcia inspected the farm and took minutes of the facts for the start of disciplinary proceedings for alleged violations of the Law 8/2003 , Animal Health, by improper management of animal carcasses, and the Law 1/2001, on Water, by abandoning them in an area of ​​public water.
The agents are now investigating whether the cause of death of cattle could have been caused by malnutrition, a circumstance which, if any, could result in criminal liability for the alleged commission of a crime of animal abuse.
