The counselor of the Embassy of Lithuania in Spain Gytis Marcinkevicius held tomorrow, Friday, the 8th, at the University of Murcia, a conference that will discuss the historical, cultural, economic and geographical Baltic country and its current situation and challenges in the context of the European Union.
Lithuania, an EU member since 2004, this year assumed the rotating presidency of the same, becoming the first former Soviet republic to lead the Council, a body with legislative functions which brings together ministers from the twenty-eight member countries.
The talk, to be attended by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, and the director general of the European Union and External Relations, Carmen Maria Sandoval, will be held at 11:30 pm in the hall of degrees of Law School, Merced campus.
