Activities in schools, village exhibition and equality are some of the proposals of the city of Murcia to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which falls on November 25.
Events take place during this month.

The Municipal Equipment Care Gender Violence (EMAVI) has attended so far this year (January to October) to 281 women for domestic violence.
In total, there have been 1,713 attentions.
Regarding the nationality of women attended, 67% are Spanish and 33% foreign (mainly from Morocco, Ecuador and Bolivia).
The 33.10% of women are aged between 30 and 40 years, 27.05% from 40 to 50 years and 20.28% between 20 and 30.
The 29.89% has a dependent child, and 29.89% have two.
As for the studies, 44,13% have primary education and secondary 31.32%.
The 39.15% of the people served do not receive any benefit, the 16.37% work for others, not working the 11.03% and 9.25% has a precarious job.
The 72.24% of women experience domestic violence complaint filed, and 63.70% have no restraining order.
As the aggressor, in 53.38% of cases is a partner, and 41% of cases is the former partner.
The physical and psychological abuse is a 39.15%, 21.35% physical cases and 21.35% psychological.
The 81.14% of women not living with the abuser.
The City has two shelters housing as a resource, protection and specialized treatment for women and their children who must leave the usual address gender violence.
In all they have capacity for 10 people.
Currently occupy 3 women and 1 child.
So far this year have gone through the shelters 6 women and 7 children.
The women's ages ranged between 19 and 55 years, and of those under age 8-11 years.
Three Spanish women are welcomed, two of Morocco and Russia.
Four of them are unemployed.
The EMAVI provides direct care (counseling, advice and support), placement of women in need, awareness campaigns and coordination with the Regional and National levels.
Among its objectives is to provide comprehensive care and prevention of violence against women.
