María Jesús Leal and Juan Caravaca have been chosen today as Grandfather and Grandmother 2013 during the traditional lunch of coexistence of higher social centers of Murcia, which, once again, was attended by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, who has taken the opportunity to personally congratulate both, as the remaining candidates for this edition.
On this occasion, were 23 senior centers that submitted candidates -18 35 women and 17 men, including 6 marriages.
Along with the Mayor, attended the event Councilwoman Health and Social Welfare Social Centres for the Elderly of the Municipality of Murcia, Simon Parraga, and Senior Director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Enrique Perez.
María Jesús Leal Vistalegre has become Grandma 2013 with 88, while Grandfather, John Caravaca, San Antolin, was born on March 28, 1919, for what he has accomplished 94 years.
The organization of this fellowship meal this year has reached its thirteenth edition.
With it the city, along with the Federation, aims to highlight the work being done in larger centers.
