The Mayor has presented this visual ride that can be seen today in the city center, with the help of 17 renowned photographers.
The images reproduced in large vinyls are accompanied by quotes about the city from various authors.
From today you can walk around the city center and at the same time, perform a visual tour of the ancient and modern Murcia.
The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, with Councilwoman Ana Martínez Vidal, presented this municipal initiative, created with the title of "Murcia in time" and represents a further step in the beautification program of the city that is being out the Town Hall with the installation of images of urban landscapes and interiors of historic buildings of Murcia on numerous fronts, including in Tatters, Calderon de la Barca, Serrano Alcazar, Plaza de las Flores.
This is an initiative that the City Council "we contribute to the aesthetic improvement of our streets, making Murcia offers an image increasingly clean and neat, befitting a modern city, tourism and trade," said House.

The initiative runs from today to the perimeter of San Esteban, which displays 38 images emblematic spaces ancient Murcia compared with the current view through another 42 images, made by 17 renowned photographers.
The vinyls are filled with quotes about the city of Murcia authors, Spanish and foreign, selected by Manuel Fernández-Delgado, head of the Municipal Museums.

The visual journey, which adds a linear length of 370 meters, covering the streets Jerome de Roda, San Antonio Portillo and Diaz Acisclus.
Between urban vinyl played on these places are so characteristic of Murcia Belluga Square, the Old Bridge, Dawn Alley, Tatters Street, the Plaza de Santo Domingo, the Verdolay, Paseo del Malecón or Camachos square, among other landmarks, which can be compared on a journey through time.
Older images with a size of 300 cm wide and 200 cm high, are for the most part out of public funds, especially the Municipal Archives, as well as private collections, and were made by French J.

Besides the Municipal Archive, photographs of historic Murcia come from the General Archive of the CARM, Gaya Museum, collection Maria Manzanera, collection Clemente Muñoz, Angel Lopez collection, Golden Shield file, file Estrella de Levante, Salzillo Museum Archive and other collections individuals.
