Ten students from the IES Alfonso X the Wise of Murcia Spanish are the only participants in the International Olympiad Space, which runs through October 26 in Moscow attended by students from Germany, USA, Greece, UK, Kazakhstan, Australia , Russia and Spain.
This is an annual competition for kids between 14 and 18 years, they have to submit a research project related to space science and English discussed in subjects like mathematics, physics or writing.
To prepare, students Murcia have developed in collaboration with the University of Murcia feeding studies of astronauts, space communications or behavior of tissues in it.
In the Space Olympics International Baccalaureate students participate, with good academic record and proficiency in English.
The IES Alfonso X and the Juan de la Cierva and Totana Codorníu are the only in the region that offer this type of study.
