The seat of the Rector of the University of Murcia has welcomed today the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Commission and the Pontifical University Antonianum, of the Franciscan Order and belonging the Theological Institute of Murcia.
The agreement is open avenues of collaboration with the Pontifical University and the Theological Institute of Murcia in the field of research in the humanities and social sciences, organizing master, conferences and specialized courses, as well as the exchange of teachers and students.
The signing was attended by the rector of the Pontifical University Antonianum, Martin Carbajo, and the minister general, Michael Perry, the highest authority of the Franciscan Order, who highlighted the "high significance" of cooperation with civil institution like the University of Murcia.
José Antonio Cobacho, rector of the University of Murcia, mentioned, for its part, the close relationship that has had the educational institution with the Franciscans throughout history, "that under the Bologna Process, has intensified in recent years with the implementation of masters ".
The event was also attended by other members of the Order, as the director of the Theological Institute, Miguel Angel Scribe.
