Ensure the mobility of people in good condition, and it supports a cleaner cities and better air quality is a challenge for municipalities that try to approach incorporating new transport and encouraging the use of public transport, bicycle and walking.
This was stated by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, at the opening of the European Forum for Sustainable Urban Mobility, organized within the activities of the Sustainable Mobility Week in Murcia.
House has been accompanied at the ceremony by the Director General of the European Union and External Relations, Carmen Maria Sandoval, and the Deputy Mayor and Delegate of Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache.
La Jornada has allowed to show the progress made by Murcia in sustainable mobility, especially with the implementation of policies tram and bicycle promotion, besides the "commitment shown by the citizens" stressed House.
