Murcia City Council has finally approved the Ordinance to Fight Prostitution in the city of Murcia.
The Ordinance sets a minimum distance of 300 meters for prostitution near schools and towns.
In addition, customers also report that minors can switch the economic sanction social work, provided that the parents authorize, and only applies to the first sanction.
This rule has received suggestions from residents, merchants, associations and other organizations working with prostitution.
The Councillor for Safety and Human Resources, Nuria Fuentes recalled that meetings were held with groups, residents, associations and political groups in order that the Ordinance is born of consensus.
Sources explained that the new regulation will come into force in early November, as they must spend 30 days of its publication in the BORM.
