Juan Francisco Madrid Cuevas, a professor at the University of Murcia, has been elected president of the Spanish Society of Histology and Tissue Engineering, which deals with the microscopic study of human organs and tissues, animals and plants.
Currently, this scientific society, whose origins date back to 1877, played a leading role in building artificial tissues and organs, which has been called Tissue Engineering.
Professor Madrid Caves is Professor of Cell Biology and Histology at the University of Murcia, which came from the Basque Country University.
