The four municipal groups represented in the city of Murcia have developed a joint statement regarding the undergrounding of the railway which is transcribed below:
After the meeting this morning with the Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara and the Minister of Public Works of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Antonio Sevilla, with representatives of the four local groups, spokesmen for PP, PSOE, UPyD IU-V and declare:
1. - Urban integration reiterate that in our town railroad passes through the excavation of the routes passing through Murcia and in this sense we confirm each and every one of the points of agreement reached in the full October 2012 and express our commitment to the citizens to continue working for the burial.
Two. - Will not accept under any circumstances the stop of Sorrows can be final.
We believe that the provisional status it implies that investment must meet the minimum technical requirements to allow the arrival of the AVE and intermodality with trains
Three. - We demand that, in parallel, the formalities required to develop the detailed design of the first phase of burial from Los Dolores to the station of El Carmen.
April. - At the same time, they must continue the work to conduct a comprehensive integration of the railway in Murcia, analyzing all possibilities.
