The dissertation of Laura Fernandez Jara, presented at the Faculty of Communication and Information at the University of Murcia, has analyzed the lack of plurality and public service programming in digital terrestrial television (DTT) arising from analog blackout April 2010.
The research, qualified cum laude, indicates that, despite a number expected in channels, content and programming strategies with DTT, it "has promoted a homogeneous television, characterized by continuous rebroadcast of old programs and purchase of realities ".
In this context, the study adds, "The 2 is the only statewide television that meets public service media" and "paradoxically is the brunt of the audience, standing in a" dangerous "2.5 percent of share ".
The thesis, directed by Professor of the University of Murcia Marta Roel has also deepened in the conceptualization of gender journalistic documentary as guarantor of the public service of communication, to conclude that within this genre DTT only found in the public channel La 2.
