National Police agents have arrested two men in Murcia, as suspects in the theft of two sections of railroad rails, one 40 meter line located in Murcia, El Carmen-The Reguerón and another stretch of 38 meters a railway line Sewer-Lorca-la Hoya, both end sections of track.
This police operation is part of the operational plan that the National Police has been developing in waste treatment centers and wholesale scrap and waste products, by conducting comprehensive inspections and controls all movements materials that manage these centers, as well as the fight against metal theft.
The events took place on August 27 when a National Police patrol in a routine check near a junkyard in the city, required to identify the occupants of a suspicious van that was carrying the weight in Vehicle inspection found that carrying nine railroad rails 3.5 meters long, who wanted to sell in the next junkyard.
Once verified by the officers, the illicit origin of the rails through the company ADIF, arrested him, and the seizure of material carried.
Following an investigation initiated agents to clarify the facts and determine whether any other section of track had been any other similar event, checking and noting that the now arrested were responsible for the abduction of another stretch of railway in Lorca.
With the investigation concluded the officers were able to verify that the damage caused to extract sections of rail on the tracks exceed 1500 euros.
The detainees, two boys 35 and 47 years of age, of Spanish nationality and residents of El Palmar, Murcia, they are charged with a crime of theft and became available to the magistrate Murcia Guard on August 28.
The operation was conducted by officers from the Police Headquarters of the Region of Murcia, Commissioner of District of El Carmen.
