The Department of Employment, Trade and Company, directed by José María Tortosa, carried out improvement works in the streets of supplies of El Carmen, Saavedra Fajardo and San Andrés.
The works are part of the plan for activities to modernize, strengthen and revitalize the commercial sector, with specific actions in the squares of Supplies for the removal of architectural barriers and improving accessibility in municipal markets.
The works to be performed are as follows:
-Reform the main lobby of El Carmen market.
Accessibility will be improved with the installation of an approved vertical lift and disabled access.
The planned investment is EUR 60,200.
-Reform of the Main Market access Saavedra Fajardo.
Installing automatic sliding glass doors and matching earrings and pavement ramps for accessibility and safety in use by citizens.
The budget is 254,500 euros.
-Renovation of facades in San Andres market.
Exterior remodeling plated with lacquered steel plate supported by a system of metal sections anchored to façade.
The planned investment is EUR 131,000.
Also, the Department has requested authorization to the Department of Culture of the CARM for installation of automatic doors in the food market Veronicas, as it is a qualified property as a Cultural (BIC).
