The Ministry of Culture and Tourism HUERMUR vindicates, and states that the label placed on the Mills River does not meet the Act (29/07/2013)

Huermur, filed a complaint with the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for placement on the north facade of the Mills River a large sign of strident permanent color and announcing "Tourism Murcia".

The Building of Mills River, is a listed building protection grade two and included within a Historic-Artistic Murcia declared of Cultural Interest (BIC).

According to Article 9 of the Revised Ordinances Regulating Plan of the Historic-Artistic Murcia:

"Any sign, label or bars in front should be integrated into its design.

The identifying signs or posters will be installed in the holes without protruding front line, recommending the use of single letters.

It expressly prohibits advertising billboards and posters temporary or permanent. "

For this reason Huermur requested his immediate removal and restoration of legality infringed.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has answered this complaint specifying that "the facility does not meet the provisions of the Revised Ordinances Regulating Plan of the Historic of Murcia, in terms of outdoor advertising, as provided in Article 9 ".

And that "acting is municipal jurisdiction, which must comply with the provisions of the Revised Ordinances Regulating Plan a Historic de Murcia".

What according HUERMUR assumed that the City must remove that label, and if you do not have to remove alternatively the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, it is who holds expertise in the area of ​​Cultural Heritage of the Region of Murcia.

HUERMUR notes that the statement by the Ministry shows that the City also violated Article 40 of the Cultural Heritage Act by not asking permission for the placement of the sign.

It also shows that not consulted with local legal service, because you did would have warned the failure of the Law

So, at what happened, HUERMUR has asked Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, as required by Article 77 of the Heritage Act, imposes a corresponding sanction those responsible for these acts considered as a serious offense consisting of fine of 100,001 € 200,000, which is more than the cost of the sign and its removal is charged to the Councillor responsible for their placement, as all these expenses have to be borne by all the people of Murcia, when it has been clear that all happened because of the irresponsibility of the council.
