With the aim of improving the conditions of access, housing, equality and dignity of the immigrant population in the area of ​​housing, promoting multiculturalism, social integration and culture for peace, the city of Murcia, through the Department of Social Welfare and Health, directed by María del Carmen Pelegrin, has renewed its partnership agreement with Rasinet Federation to carry out the project "Immigration, housing and social integration", whose objectives are:
- Strengthening the immigrant population stability with economic aid program to housing, to prevent marginalization and social exclusion.
- Encourage and strengthen professionalism funding and private sector as well as the partnership, collaboration and cooperation among the organizations working with immigrants in the Region of Murcia.
- Establish through new technology platform and a network platform for collaboration and outreach on immigration and the Region of Murcia.
- Support a sustainable and ecological intervention of our environment.
The actions to be carried out with the development of that project are:
- Creation of a bag of accommodation to be rented by immigrants.
- Advice, processing, management and monitoring of housing demand.
- Free legal advice.
- Preparation of rental and purchasing contracts.
- Mediation and conflict resolution.
- Update website.
- Participation in immigration forums.
- Financial assistance in housing.
The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this week to the proposal relating to the collaboration of that project for a total amount of 100,000 euros.
The project RASINET, was put into operation in 2000 and later assume its own legal personality through the creation of a federation of organizations and associations if profit organization, located in the municipality of Murcia and whose object of study is the immigration and integration issues related to social, mainly performances in the housing area.
Since its inception the organization has been linked to the city of Murcia through the Department to develop the requisite skills for social services in the municipality.
At first the set of entities and associations that constituted the immigration Workbench driven by this Council were subsidized under this name in order to promote access to housing of the immigrant population.
The combination of new technologies with the methods of social intervention has been and is the hallmark of this project, becoming primarily through its website rasinet.org a clear reference in the field of immigration and housing.
Currently the federation consists Rasinet Columbares Association, Association of Senegalese in the Region of Murcia, Murcia Welcomes Association and Federation of Neighborhood Associations and Consumers of the Region of Murcia.
