The two men allegedly engaged traveler irregular transport despite the lack of license, insurance and other requirements to perform this work.
National Police agents have arrested two men, both of Moroccan nationality and of 44 and 37 years old respectively, who allegedly engaged in illegal transportation of passengers by taxis "pirate" from the bus station of the city of Murcia.
The reason for the arrest are the threats and coercion that these have taken place against a taxi driver who had reported this illegal activity.
The arrests were made after finding that the complainant had been seriously threatened and even assaulted on occasion due to their demand for control of this type of activities that harm both licensed taxi drivers.
The modus operandi of the detainees was to attract customers in the bus station itself trasportarles to the agreed exchange for a price set freely by the driver.
This activity is lacking of all permits, insurance, licensing and other requirements established by the regulations for the provision of these services in safety.
They also constitute unfair competition for those workers who meet all requirements and comply with labor and tax obligations.
Once reported extremes observed during the 8th and July 9th agents district police station of El Carmen proceeded to the arrest of the two men mentioned above and instruction of two separate police reports were referred to the courts.
