More than 3,500 children participate during the month July in any of the 99 summer schools that are celebrated in educational centers municipal and which are organized by the Councillors for Social Welfare and Health; Culture, AMPAS, NGOs and Municipal Boards with the collaboration of the Concejalía of Education.
In the Summer Schools the smallest participate in workshops, practice sport and activities diverse as excursions, visits, etc.
The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrín; and Councilwoman of Education, María Dolores Sánchez, have visited this morning the infant school that is celebrated in the CEIP La Flota, and have explained that the objective is to offer ludic spaces and leisure, at the same time they learn, and facilitate parents the reconciliation of work and family life in during holiday periods when no school.
This year are celebrated 99 summer schools in 65 public centers, distributed as follows form:
-57 Summer school organized by AMPAS, at 34 centers (four of them share facilities with Social Services).
-28 Summer schools organized for municipal services in 26 centers distributed as follows:
-23 By Social Services that shares blanks with the AMPAS of the centers Our Lady del Paso, M.
José Castaño, Kingdom of Murcia, Our Lady of the Angels, Infante Juan Manuel and M.
Enrique Laborda (with CEPAIM).
-1 Per Welfare Social
-4 By Centers Cultural
-1 Summer school organized by the Board Municipal of Los Martínez del Puerto
-7 Summer schools for schoolchildren of Puente Tocinos in a single center organized by the Association of Vecinos of Puente Tocinos.
(Are organized summer schools rotatably at schools in the pedanía and this year is performed in the CEIP Our Lady del Rosario).
-6 Summer schools organized by NGOs, on 6 centers
La Concejalía of Education contributes to the assignment of educational centers and performs the cleaning tasks in colleges that are used for holding summer schools; well as the cession of concierges in ten centers.
Addition, it was recommended to collectives that organize these activities share educational centers located in the same area or next, and that bar are used rotatably along the years with the objective of optimize resources and organize maintenance tasks in the centers.
Addition, when organizing on a same educational center summer schools from different organizations are fostered social relations among children, are offered alternatives in the event that some center can not be used by being in works and is enables the improved programming already that by participating more children is more profitable.
By sharing spaces by different associations or organizing entities it saves the opening of 34 educational centers.
