The University of Murcia hosts starting next Monday, July 8, the national program "Inclusive Campus, Campus without Limits", it is intended to introduce prospective students with disabilities in all aspects of the college experience as a way to increase its presence in higher education.
Participating students live together in a dorm for five days, during which know first hand how everyday university academic with disabilities, as well as the resources that the University of Murcia available to them.
They can also explore the range of additional activities available cultural and leisure (theater, book clubs, adapted sports, sailing, diving, etc..), And even exercise researchers at a scientific workshop, among other actions.
This initiative, in addition to encouraging the active presence of people with disabilities in Spanish universities, is also a way to sensitize the university community on disability.
Scheduled activities are driven by the Vice President for Student and Employment through the Service to Diversity and Volunteerism with the ONCE foundation funding and Repsol and supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Employment.
The opening will be on Monday, at 10:00 am in the University Community Centre, Espinardo campus, by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho.
