OPEA program workers reported on the street leading to the deletion of career guidance program in the Region (28/06/2013)

The program workforce OPEA (Guidance Actions for Employment and Self-Employment Assistance) has informed the public about the removal of the principal orientation program for unemployed in the region.

From this group we can not understand how, unemployment being the main problem in the region, the deletion of a program that has contrasted his excellent performance during its 15 years of existence, more than 30,000 people attended in the last year, and in which , as indicated by either Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Constantine Sotoca have achieved a job within three months, 20% of its users.

For this reason, this morning, Friday, June 28, from 10:30 to 12:30 pm in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, we have installed a mobile office for information and guidance for use 'on the street', with the aim of inform the citizens of this situation, in addition to another series of demonstrations in the following weeks.

In addition, the program's demise means not only OPEA interrupting pathways and the abandonment of unemployed users served, but the destruction of about 150 jobs Technical Guidance and the disappearance therefore reference for tutors of all people served from the service.
