The full City Council has approved a joint motion of the groups PP, PSOE, IU and the Consistory UPyD to continue food aid and dining for the neediest families.
It also urges the Regional Education Authority to put in place the necessary mechanisms to provide food and dining aids holiday period for those children who need it.
It also gave the green light to a PP alternative motion to continue working and investing human and material resources of the city of Murcia to improve, maintain and repair those areas that are under municipal jurisdiction, taking into account the needs of CEIP Barriomar 74 for during 2013/2014.
The motion also includes transfer to the Ministry of Education the need for an interpreter for the center area and install a shaded area in the courtyard of CEIP Child Barriomar 74, as well as to consider changing how many elements are in disrepair.
The proposal was approved with votes in favor of PP, contrary to PSOE and IU, and refraining from UPyD.
Education Councilwoman Maria Dolores Sanchez, recalled that since 2010 the City has invested 33,000 euros in arrangement and enhancement of the school, and already has urgently requested the Board of Landowners to clean the outside of the school.
