The Convention Bureau of the Department of Tourism of the City of Murcia has organized a national photography contest to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary.
1,700 euros will be distributed in prizes, with a first prize of $ 1,000 and two runners-up with 350 euros each.
The theme of the contest is 'Murcia city congress', and topics related to the world of congresses, conferences, conventions and any aspect of the conference tourism and infrastructure or buildings.
The images may be made with analog or digital cameras, black and white or color, but can not be altered electronically or by any other means, nor may be submitted photomontages.
Open to everyone over 18, amateur or professional, living in Spain, with a maximum of three works, which have not been awarded in other contests.
The deadline for submission is October 31.
3,000 brochures have been printed with the competition rules for distribution at photo shops, businesses and youth associations.
The jury will be chaired by the Councillor for Sports, Youth and Tourism, Miguel Cascales, and composed by Juan Miguel Gómez, Monica Lozano, Enrique Martinez Bueso, Joaquin Zamora, Esperanza Abad, Jesus Pacheco and Ramon Palazón.
The awards ceremony will be held on December 3 at the same time it will open the exhibition with selected works in the Mills River Area Stables.
