The symposium involved in Spain's leading experts in sports traumatology
The Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has welcomed today the First Congress UCAM-AMASTRADE (Association of Master of Sports Traumatology).
According to Chairman of the Board AMASTRADE Manager and event coordinator, José Luis Marín, the aim of the event is "to make known to the general public and the academic AMASTRADE creating and fostering the development of traumatology sports at regional, national and international levels ".
Honorary Dean Degree in Medicine UCAM, Pedro Guillén, closed an event with a presentation on sports traumatology in Europe and their careers.
The coordinator of the First Congress UCAM-AMASTRADE, Jose Manuel Marin stressed that the UCAM "is a pioneer in the creation of AMASTRADE. Fact, born in 2012 with the support of the University and the Department of Sports Traumatology, the first association professional who is created in the UCAM ".
Also, "in the Region of Murcia is also pioneering a professional association of sports trauma" has affected Marin.
Among the purposes of AMASTRADE, explained the congressional coordinator, Jose Manuel Marin, include the defense of the interests of the Master of Sports Traumatology, Catholic University San Antonio, and to promote and encourage, through the University, arrangements collaboration for the exchange of research personnel and the development of joint research projects in sports traumatology with national and international entities.
This will spread the name of the UCAM to University of Sport ".
Among the speakers at the Congress, include, among others, the co-director of the Chair in Sports Traumatology and honorary dean of the Degree in Medicine UCAM, Pedro Guillén CETRADEC director-Valencia, Manuel Javier Cases, to the Chief Medical Services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Helera Herrero, the Head of the Medical Services of Real Madrid CF, Carlos Javier Diez, and Chief Medical Officer of CF Salamanca, Jose Ignacio Garrido.
During the event have been addressed, among other issues, the therapeutic efficacy of immunomodulators, the involvement of society and chair of orthopedics at the importance of physical exercise and school-age injuries, prevention of injuries in football and sudden death in sport.
