Twenty women from today participating in a course on prevention and awareness about violence suffered by women immigrants, which offers the Department of Equality Policy and CEPAIM-Murcia.
This activity is part of the program 'Coping', has a duration of 36 hours and is performed with the help of the Ministry of Equality and the European Commission.
The aim is to sensitize and raise awareness of women about violence in all its forms, promote the empowerment of women from all levels (economic, psychological, social, etc.), provide skills which strengthen security and control his life, offering information on services and existing legal remedies and assistance, and promote the creation of support groups.
The Councillor for Equality Policies, Alicia Waterman, participated this morning in the course presentation, held at the Center for Women's Fleet.
Classes are taught by CEPAIM and Women's City Section is responsible for the organization, group formation, infrastructure, local food and toy library for children accompanying 20 participants, as well as activities aimed at children.
