The Foundation Board Veterinary Clinic of the University of Murcia has agreed to establish a social fund to defray expenses and pet owners, as a result of the economic crisis, they have no way to enable them to receive the care they need.

The initiative is "to seek the help and collaboration of professionals, students, administrative staff and services and society in general."

It also states that "any aid, however modest, go to swell the social background and will be useful to address many of these animals, as well as alleviate the frustration and helplessness of many of the affected owners"
