Rafael Melendreras and his team presented the Sun Rider who competed in the Shell Eco-Marathon of Rotterdam in May
The UCAM Racing Team presented on the campus of Los Jeronimos, headquarters of the Catholic University of Murcia UCAM, its latest prototype, the Sun Rider.
In a ceremony during which sponsors, team members and students of the University, the car was the main character.
After participating in the Shell Eco-Marathon of Rotterdam was the time to know the characteristics of this new vehicle and the challenges it faces in the future.
Rafael Melendreras, director of the Degree of Communication Systems Engineering, was responsible for introducing the Sun Rider on the UCAM: "If you make a project go forward to the end results."
Regarding your last participation is good but said "this car has much room for improvement. Sure you improve the next competition."
Rafael Berenguer offered more technical details about the making of the car and said all the difficulties they had to overcome to get to the test of Holland but added that "all this work has paid off."
And no wonder.
The Sun Rider encompasses much of the values you want to pass from the UCAM: innovation, work, enthusiasm and sport.
Four pillars to continue to grow and have a car more competitive each year.
A task that would be impossible without the participation of sponsors and partners: Banco Santander, Tube Murcia, Comarth, CT Metal, NZI Helmets, Eurener K2 Sport Bike, Electric Lumen, Berbetores Industrial, Professional FFG Polyester, Iberia Vitae Cleaning and Services Artisan Pastry Gimar.
