The Socialist councilor Andrea Garries City government claims to clarify once and what plans for the site of St. Stephen.
Garries defended in Parliament yesterday a motion calling for urgent adaptation of the archaeological remains and the development of a master plan to put in value.
This initiative was again rejected by the PP.
Remember Garries asked three-time councilor of Culture, Rafael Gómez, if true the information published in the media about the existence of a project to bury the findings, and three times avoided answering.
"With this darkness we fear that one day he'll 'get a shovel' the site of St. Stephen to bury the archaeological remains," warns the PSOE mayor, who condemned "the continued belittling to the whole reservoir to make a plot offering a negative image of the city center, although has already cost us more than six million in compensation to the company that would build the parking lot. "
Garries notes that the PSOE will continue to defend the progressive enhancement of the remains of the site of St. Stephen because we understand that it is a source of employment and tourism to our town.
"We know times are tough and there is no point megalomaniac action, but may be making an investment plan that allows it visited while working in situ".
Moreover, the Socialist Group will be made in writing to the Ministry of Culture requesting all information submitted by the City on the archaeological record of San Esteban.
