Given the serious situation which is the site of St. Stephen and the need to find an agreed solution and viable Huermur calls to various entities, citizens and social actors involved in the protection and conservation of this important site to an exhibition of proposals and public debate in the Assembly Hall Building Annex Moneo Murcia City Hall on June 18 afternoon.
For its part, the Association is preparing a proposal realistic and austere work and meetings with professionals and experts, which will be presented at the event and sent to the relevant authorities.
Huermur organizes this event with the aim of opening a discussion with citizen participation need to unify criteria and achieve together a solution according to the current economic situation, and feasible with cultural heritage conservation and recovery of urban space.
Huermur association is sending out invitations to various entities, among which is the president of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, the Ministry of Culture, the Municipal Government, Socialist Party, United Left-Greens, UPyD equo Murcia Region, College of Architects, University of Murcia, Alfonso X el Sabio Academy, Academy of Fine Arts of St. Mary of the Arrixaca, Friends of St. Stephen, St. Stephen Embrace Platform, Ecologists in Action and all citizens interested in attending.
Huermur intended that the event will start with a discussion of options for five minutes in length for each entity, then a public debate where all attendees who wish to provide feedback or ideas.
The aim is to put on the table the different options, the similarities and differences that may have, in order to bring positions and chart a course together, knowing what kind of city we want and that the site of St. Stephen is not a neutral or serve of discord between Murcia.
