The course with volunteer Reinforcement University School of Social Services City of Murcia closes on Wednesday, May 29, in the Auditorium Building in Murcia City Hall Annex at 18 hours.
This project is developed by the Municipal Social Services since 1999, in coordination with the Service to Diversity and Volunteerism at the University of Murcia.
School Reinforcement Project aims to "support and complement the formal education process of children and adolescents, especially in compulsory education, developing a comprehensive rehabilitative care in the context of attention to diversity, in relation to the difficulties in finding of the minors and if necessary, carry out positive action to care for the specific needs of integration in the school and community and decreased absenteeism neglect and school failure. "
In the school year 2012/2013 have involved 105 volunteers and university volunteers who have developed their work with 167 children in the municipality, 43 wards and districts, spending a total 7089 hours on the project.
Of the 105 volunteer participants, 50 did so in districts, serving a total of 95 children, and 55 in the urban area with a total of 72 children.
The average number of hours they have dedicated college students was 68.
The event will be presented to attendees, the certificate issued by the city of Murcia, with the number of hours that each of them has done.
It also will recognize five honorary volunteers who have participated in the project for three consecutive years.
