The tradition and innovation in Spanish painting landscape between 1915 and 1926 has been the object of study of doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Murcia by José Luis Antequera Lucas.
The study has sought to contribute to a new focus on Spanish art history of early twentieth century and, in particular, of the landscape genre.
Research shows that in Spain the art accompanies the beliefs and values at that stage, "not accepting the vanguards of the time, such as Futurism, Cubism and Expressionism and questioning the so-called" New Art ".
The dissertation, which led the professor Cristobal Belda, was rated suitable cum laude.
