The idea of ​​taking to the stage of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" began to take shape in 2006, at the Shakespeare Festival where he was director, Paco Azorin. Nearly seven years later, this idea will be materialized with the premiere all next Thursday, May 24, at Teatro Circo Murcia.
It is a coproduction of the 59 International Festival of Classical Theatre, Teatro Circo Murcia and Metaproducciones, with the collaboration of the Teatre-Auditori de Sant Cugat, Pirate Ship Productions and Shakespeare Festival.
Also, "Julius Caesar" is the seventh holding co Teatro Circo Murcia, the fifth adult theater.
Paco Azorin presents a story in a contemporary, predominantly male, violent, talking about current issues such as abuse of power, corruption, war and the people's struggle for freedom.
The plot revolves around a possible conspiracy to assassinate Julius Caesar as the only way to end all the evils of the Roman people.
The doubts, jealousy, envy, lies and secrets are intertwined in the personal stories of the protagonists
