National Police agents have arrested thirteen people involved in the theft of copper wiring lighting in different places in Murcia.
Investigations of these events began following irregularities in some of the regular inspections are held at scrap yards and waste recovery centers, required to keep a detailed record of the origin and destiny of all the material that trade.
Inspections allowed agents to recover some amounts of copper, which had acquired establishments erratically and could be identified as coming from the public lighting installations in the industrial area of ​​Sewell that took several days off duty.
Having identified the perpetrators of the robbery, they conducted a police operation aimed at their location and arrest, which took place between 24 April and 13 May and led to the arrest of thirteen people, all men of nationality Murcia Spanish and neighbors, among whom is responsible for one of the junkyards inspected, charged with a crime of receiving.
The operation has restored 90 kilos of copper wiring were returned to the lighting installation company in the area.
The authors of the subtractions metal sold for a price of between 4 and 6 euros a kilo, but the damage to the facilities is estimated at around 100,000 euros.
The people responsible have been brought before the magistrate for Guard of Murcia.
