"Appearances of persuasion. Constructing meanings in art" is the title of the book edited by Concepcion de la Peña and María Martínez Albaladejo, to be presented next Thursday, May 16, at 19.30 pm in the Museum Salzillo within the seminar entitled "Museums, memory and social progress," Tribute to Professor Rodriguez Gutierrez de Ceballos.
The publication is edited by Editum, Publications Service of the University of Murcia and funded by the Seneca Foundation Science and Technology Agency of the Region of Murcia.
The book presents the results of a research project focused on the study of issues related to the image and appearance from different perspectives.
Furthermore, other works have included professionals from the university and museums.

Some of the chapters are devoted to the theme of appearance and what it entails in terms of defining the identity of the individual or collective status, dress, elements that determine and shape to appear.

The book is dedicated to a great teacher, Professor Rodriguez Gutierrez de Ceballos, professor of art history and academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, and try to be a testimony of gratitude, respect and appreciation for the great contribution he made to the history of art and the opening of new lines of research.
