More than 61,000 people over 65 who live in neighborhoods and districts Murcia and directs them new guide for the first time, brings together all the resources that the City makes available to the elderly.

The role of the elderly in municipal politics is evident in the quality and quantity of services, facilities and projects developed by the City.

We opted for the digital format for easy reference and ensure constant updating.
The goal that has developed the manual is to gather all the information of municipal resources of interest to seniors, both designed exclusively for this group, as other general, aimed at the whole population, and that undoubtedly are also used and demanded by the elderly.
Eleven municipal services assigned to eight councils are involved in some way in the welfare, care and improving the quality of life of the elderly:
- Department of Social Welfare and Health, through Social Welfare Services, Social Services and Municipal Health Services: network of municipal assistance programs, groups 4/40, food shops, etc..
- Department of Political Equality and Development Cooperation, through the Women's section: network of women
- Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism, through the Sports Department: sporting activities aimed at older
- Department of Traffic and Transportation: Bonus Card 100
- Department of Environment, through service and German Environment: the leisure gardens, parks biosaludables apparatus, system of public bike rental, etc..
- Department of Culture, through the service of Informatics: Classrooms free Internet access and telecentres
- Department of the Treasury, through the Tax Management Service: Fee rate zero waste
- Department of Safety and Human Resources through Local Police: Information campaigns crime prevention
