The School of Architecture and Building Engineering, UCAM will host this institute for modular and deployable structures
The Catholic University of Murcia UCAM and Emilio Pérez Piñero Foundation today signed a collaboration agreement to be constituted by Emilio Pérez Piñero Institute for Modular and Deployable Structures, based in the School of Architecture and Building Engineering of the UCAM.
The director of the Foundation, Emilio Pérez Belda, stressed that through this agreement the professional legacy of renowned architect Murcia "will be transmitted to new generations who will continue his work."
For his part, the director of the School of Architecture and Building Engineering UCAM, Juan Roldan, highlighted the contribution of Emilio Pérez Piñero transformable structures.
"With this agreement we analyze the background of this architect and incorporate their knowledge to our curriculum in Grades of Engineering and Architecture", said.
The agreement was signed by the president of the UCAM, Jose Luis Mendoza, and the director of the Foundation Emilio Perez Pinero, Emilio Pérez Belda, son of the architect.
It includes a collaboration agreement between the University and the Foundation to provide access to files by Emilio Pérez Piñero, even going to have deposits or temporary delegations of their models and prototypes, so lead by example, encouragement , reference and field of work for writing articles, papers and theses for undergraduate students and faculty, through the establishment of Emilio Pérez Piñero Institute for Modular and Deployable Structures.
