Engineering students at the University of Murcia have been awarded in the National Contest Bridges X built with popsicle sticks, organized by the University Miguel Hernández (Elche).
The students, led by Professor Antonio González Carpena, built a bridge with four kilos of ice cream sticks able to hold nearly 500 kg, which has earned them third place in a contest in which there were twenty models.
The competition, which tests the creativity and skills acquired by students during the course of their studies, is organized by the Delegation of Students EPSE Miguel Hernández University of Elche and involves building models of bridges with chopsticks ice cream in three categories: weight, aesthetics and mobility.
