This morning I have started the installation work of the historic Lion Malecón in the place occupied for centuries, along the walkway of Manterola, opposite the Palace of Almudí.
Several workers have placed the original base on a frame and a reinforced concrete base iron, which will insulate the part of moisture in the future.
The piece will be opened in the coming days
This morning I have started the installation work of the historic Lion Malecón in the place occupied for centuries, along the walkway of Manterola, opposite the Palace of Almudí.
Several workers have placed the original base on a frame and a reinforced concrete base iron, which will insulate the part of moisture in the future.
Along the Lion also recovered a plaque in black marble and well preserved, which reads: "this wall was rebuilt and input and Malecon lion being mayor and war captain, of this city, Mr. Joachin de Pareja and Obregon (...) Year 1776 ".
The original plate remains exposed in the Museum of the City, so it is an exact replica installed in the basement.
