The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, today criticized some municipal councils to allocate items of expenditure concepts "that have nothing to do with the needs of social or labor."
Tornel explained as examples Aljucer board has led public budget expenditure activities of a religious association, as the arrangement of thrones, or Santa Maria de Gracia, who has paid the olive branches for a religious act.
"It is unacceptable that activities relating to a particular religious cult are subsidized with money from all Murcia.'s An abuse of power and opportunistic use of public funds," said.
In his view, very different is that a particular religious association dedicated its activity to work with social impact nondiscriminatory reason for belief as food banks, school support and social advocacy.
"In today spend thousands of euros on thrones, parades, flowers and other signs for the exaltation of particular beliefs is irresponsible. Propaganda is not the responsibility of government in a democratic state."
So Tornel has asked the chairmen of the boards for ending these practices and if they know what to do with the budget get in touch with their neighborhood associations or districts that work for people and their rights.
"I suggest-added-to serve people who have lost their School Meals for their children before funding with public money robes and thrones of private associations."
