Blue in Action NGO, Local Police of Murcia, has organized several sports events in order to raise funds to continue with their project 'Improving the eye health of the population of the country of Togo', Africa.
The May 5 II Duathlon will be held on City of Murcia, tour of the city center.
It is organized in collaboration with the Triathlon Club Murcia, and is expected to involve more than one hundred people.
The output will be in the University Square.
In addition, Blue in Action, under the name Murcia Challenge, organized on 26 May in the natural setting of the I Frames Coto Spain MTB championship for Security Forces, in collaboration with the Spanish Cycling Federation and the Federation Murcia Cycling and MTB routes Club Murcia.
It is also planned Murcia Bike Marathon Challenge, in partnership with the MTB club Murcia Murcia Cycling Federation, and Trail Running tests Murcia Murcia Trekking Challenge and Challenge.
The output of this test will be in the concourse behind New Condomina Mall.
The aim of these activities, in addition to raising funds for projects Blue in Action, is the promotion of sport and health in the municipality.

Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Waterman, has encouraged athletes to participate in these tests, and pointed out that the City is working with the NGO since 2002, in various infrastructure projects, education and health, developed in Mali, Morocco and Togo, allocating more than 185,000 euros.
The project 'Improving the eye health of the population of the country of Togo' by Blue in Action, aims conducting eye surgeries in patients with incapacitating reversible blindness caused by diseases such as Cataract, Glaucoma, etc, in many cases children, getting back the view while consultations are held and administered treatments for other eye diseases.
Togo is deficient in health care, especially ophthalmology, existing seven ophthalmologists for a population of approximately 7 million.
At least 90% of the population may not have access to this type of assistance.
Blue in Action, with support from the City of Murcia, built and led the country's Ophthalmic Hospital Ciudad de Murcia.
The NGO has been working in Togo since 2007.
To date have carried out over 1,000 operations Cataract blind people have regained their sight, over 3,500 treatments to people with other eye diseases such as trachoma, conjunctivitis, etc..
More than 6,000 eye consultations and 2,500 graduations and vision correction.
The Eye Hospital is installed in the City of Kara (Togo).
