The Councillor for Employment, Trade and Business, José María Tortosa, opens tomorrow, Monday, EXPRES-ART exposure in youth resource center 585 m² located in the district of Santa Maria de Gracia.
This is the First Exhibition of Paintings by students of Initial Vocational Training Program of the City of Murcia and will be on display until May 6.
The name of the exhibition emerges from the creative process has been a fast, fun and motivating to get transformed the walls of the training center where students / as they study in a small art gallery, through which have discovered a new form of expression very rewarding, because without prior knowledge and using a very simple technique has been able to develop their imagination and creativity.
The technique is very simple on cardboard and paint-soaked sponges, let your imagination to stains and colors take shape, guided by the hand of the young artists.
The purpose of this activity is to contribute to the training and development of young people attending a Programme of Initial Vocational Training in the city of Murcia.
This faculty has set a number of specific objectives:
- Improve the self-esteem of these young creators
- Encourage the development of creativity and flair for the aesthetic
- Understand different materials and techniques of plastic expression
- Develop communication across different languages
- Assess the process of making a work
Professional Qualification Programmes (PCPI) targeting youth aged 16 to 20 years who have not completed compulsory secondary education and intend to provide basic and vocational training to enable them to continue their education or enter the workforce.
The city of Murcia is forming since November last year to 152 youth in the municipality, as the operators and assistants in 8 professional profiles: Welding and metal constructions, electricity and communications, cooking, hairdressing, beauty, commerce and warehouse, plumbing, HVAC and vehicle maintenance.
The Education, Training and Employment has provided this project with a grant of € 453,803 for the hiring of teachers, while the city of Murcia provides facilities, materials, supplies, workshops, clothing and protective equipment occupational risk.
Upon graduation in July, students will perform 150 hours of work experience in companies in the municipality of Murcia, with which the City will sign cooperation agreements.
