The University of Murcia held on Monday, April 29th, the investiture ceremony as honorary doctors of the English chemists Franz Lappert and George Michael Jeffery Leigh.
The ceremony will take place at 12:00 pm in the auditorium "Lumeras Hermenegildo de Castro", Faculty of Chemistry, Espinardo campus.

Lappert (1928, Czechoslovakia) has done most of his research work at the University of Sussex (England) and is one of the most important inorganic chemicals in the world.
University of Sussex also comes George Jeffery Leigh (1934, London), which has stood for his studies of the process of biological nitrogen fixation, research for which he received the Order of the British Empire.
Teachers participate as sponsors of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry Gabriel García Sánchez and María Dolores Santana Lario.La concession was a proposal from the Faculty of Chemistry, at the initiative of the said Department, and provide the first honorary doctor appointments driven by this center .
